Hello there. This is my personal blog where I say whats on my mind, Post my cosplay progress, to reblogging things that spark my interest, to my ranting. To sum me up I am a cosplayer, and love cute things. Basically I plank and derp so much that I should get a award.Prepare to know all my feels and current obsessions here and there.
You actually got it? I was just kidding about the leg, I just thought it’d be funny!
New project! I think it looks really cheesy and kind of bad right now, i’m hoping once I smooth the gradient, add the tulle overlay, and petals in the hem it’ll class things up a bit.
If not then i’ll be pretty sad, but at least I can remove the flowers and use them for something else!
Also, if all goes well I have a ton of greenery and small flowers left over which I think i’ll use to make (another) pair of poofy shorts using the same technique.
Added a whole bunch more hydrangea blossoms and filled in the gaps with daisies, and I like it so much more! After removing hot glue strands I added the tulle overlay and I’m quite pleased with it.
Still work left to be done - a waistband, zipper, and seam binding on the bodice. But the tough stuff is over!
I don’t like short dresses. I can’t seem to control my expression and legs at the same time, the photos always turn out a mess :(
Anyway! Flower dress and headpiece are all finished, step by step instructions for this dress can be found on my blog, and a video tutorial for the headpiece is here!
The whole thing is sheer, but you can’t really tell because the petticoat is white and i’m very pale ;;
It was designed, drafted, made, and worn by me! Took 16-ish hours to make, spread over a seven day period. Has about sixty dollars worth of fake flowers in it and several yards of silk organza, poly chiffon, and tulle.
I was a fun and easy little project. I enjoyed it.
Unfortunately I don’t have any exciting progress to share - i’m still waiting for fabric to arrive. So in place or progress, here are some more photos of my flowery dress!
I don’t like how these turned out compared to the first ones, but you can see my magic space shoes so that’s cool.

I have a lot of information and photos on how I made it posted HERE!
I’ve been so amazed and really flattered at all the positive feedback and sweet comments i’ve gotten about this project. I’m so glad people seem to like it!
I love how the Addams Family has ZERO slut-shaming. Like… honey you can dance naked and enslave someone with your womanly charms if you want to, I don’t fucking care, but so help me you’re going to get a college education first.
The Addamses are what every family should aspire to be like (you know; without the dismemberment and electric chairs as play time). Honestly, have you ever seen more unconditionally loving and supportive parents than Gomez and Morticia? And not just with the kids, but with each other. I think what’s especially unique about them is how open they are with everything. They don’t treat their children like children. They treat them like they treat everyone else; direct, and to the point.
It’s creepy how many good examples of parenting and romantic relationships there is in these characters, especially considering they are supposed to be the antithesis of the stereotypical American nuclear family.
Omfgggggggg too good!
